Hands-On Coding for Primary Students
Discover engaging, age-appropriate ways to introduce coding to your primary students! In this interactive session, you'll explore a variety of hands-on activities that make coding accessible and fun for young learners. Learn how to use everyday classroom materials for unplugged coding lessons, receive ready-to-use print-and-go activities, and get hands-on experience with robotics such as Code & Go Mice and Cublets. Whether you're new to teaching coding or looking for fresh ideas, you'll leave with practical strategies and resources you can use right away to bring coding into your young elementary classroom.

In this hands-on professional development session, educators will explore the engaging world of Ozobot robotics and discover how coding can be integrated into a wide range of content areas. Participants will learn how to program Ozobots using both color-coded marker commands (screen-free coding) and the Ozobot Blockly online coding platform, gaining practical experience with each approach. Attendees will not only build foundational skills in robotics and coding, but will also explore creative, non-traditional ways to incorporate Ozobots into subjects beyond STEM.
